This blog is about the intersection between travel, race, and education. There’s a stereotype that black Americans in particular don’t travel, and this blog hopes to inspire young black people to shatter that belief. Travel may be especially important for our demographic because, unfortunately, the rest of the world doesn’t know much about us.

As I meet and interact with other individuals I try to take the opportunity to educate, even in some small way, about my culture, but at the same time I’m still forming my own identity. What is my identity when I am a part of my community? What is my individual identity? I hope to explore these questions through my writing here. Thanks for joining me.
